Disaster On The Ice - A KKM Dream

kingadenI had a KKM dream last night! It took place in my real life hometown of Imlay City. Only Imlay City was part of the Earth Mazoku's territory and it was winter time.
There was this road than ran North and South not far from where I lived. There were trees and houses on the West side, and a huge lake that had frozen over on the East side. Several young children were playing on the lake, skating, sledding, having snowball fights, etc.. Meanwhile, a bus heading North on the road was dropping school aged children off at their houses. It was after school.
Suddenly, the bus veered towards the lake and fell down the side and out of sight. It didn't go into the lake. It just disappeared in a cloud of white, powdery snow. I was on another bus and thought "Yikes! I'm glad I wasn't on that bus! That was freaky! Well, better them than me!" Just as I thought that, the ground started shaking. The ice in the lake shattered into a bunch of pieces and the edges of those pieces started to dip down into the lake. Most of the kids playing there managed to get to safety, but 2 of the kids slid down into the water and disappeared. (Obviously, they drowned).
The bus I was on started to slide sideways towards the lake and several passengers and I managed to get off the bus before it went over the edge and into the lake. However, several passengers were still on the bus. Needless to say they also drowned.
The ground stopped shaking and the next thing I knew, I was standing on the road, looking North, and watching as a helicopter hovered in the air above a 3rd bus (it had actually been just a little ahead of the 1st bus), and Conrad was holding onto a rope, hanging down from a helicopter. Wolfram and Gunter were there too! The three of them had managed to put ropes and cords around the bus and was using the helicopter to pull the bus forward (North) towards the end of the road, where it'd be safe.
I went from being myself to being Yuuri and waited to see if they'd get the bus to safety or not. It took a few minutes, but Conrad, Wolfram and Gunter managed to get the bus to the end of the street and I let out this huge sigh of relief.
The four of us met up in the middle of the street and went to the office, which was on the west side of the street, directly opposite of the lake. The Earthquake had formed these huge blocks of ice, so Gwendal and Gunter had taken them and turned them into a building to use as an Earth Office. Once in the office, which was really cool, I, Yuuri, became overwhelmed with guilt because I wasn't there in time to save the kids and stop them from drowning. Gunter suggested I take some time off to give myself time to come to terms with what had happened. Gwendal and the others, myself included, agreed, and I went and sat in a room with 2 other guys who felt the same way as me.
A week passed and I came to the realization that what had happened to those kids wasn't my fault. It was an unfortunate accident and there was no way I could have been there in time to save them, even if I had hurried. I also realized I'd have to be the one to inform their families and to retrieve their frozen bodies from the lake. Which I was fully prepared to do. I cried a little, then stood up and left the room. I went back to the office and everyone was so happy to see me. They decided that, since most of the snow had melted and there was no danger now, it was okay to have a mini (one day) vacation before going back to work and doing what needed to be done (repairing the damage to the houses, road, lake, etc.) and I agreed.
Gwendal took me out behind the office and showed me this new lake that had formed as a result of the Earthquake and explained to me that it was more of a hot spring. So we could go swimming and boating and so forth. That really made me happy! But first, I had to guest to greet. Sara had come to help assess the damage and to see if there was anything he could do to help. Though his real reason for being there was to see me. Meeting with me (Yuuri) in person and offering to help assess and repair the damage was just an excuse to come see me.
So we all sat down and talked only Sara kept coughing. He also looked older because he had a few wrinkles under and around his eyes. Lyn was there and quickly tried to take care of him and was like "That's a smokers cough. The reason he's coughing like that and has wrinkles and looks sickly is because he's been smoking (cigarettes)." Sara insisted his poor health had nothing to do with the fact that he'd started smoking (over the previous summer) and that now that we'd finished talking, he wanted to have some fun.
We all knew he was lying, but we let it go for the moment and I sighed and took him to the hot spring. We changed into our bathing suits and he and I went out on a paddle boat together and played around in the water. Conrad took Wolfram out in a boat to keep an eye on us but also to keep Wolf busy. Oddly enough, Wolfram didn't get seasick. I think he was too busy being jealous that I (Yuuri) was spending time with Sara and having fun. I sighed and returned to the docks and while Sara went inside to dry off and change, I jumped into the water.
Conrad moved their boat closer to mine and Sara's and kept asking me strange questions. Like "Who do you think is smarter? Wolfram, Sara or Murata? Who do you think is prettier? Wolfram, Sara or Murata? Who do you think is the better dresser? Wolfram, Sara or Murata?" I sighed and rolled my eyes and told Conrad enough with the weird questions. Tomorrow we had a lot of work to do, but today was all about relaxing and having fun and enjoying each other's company. That shut Conrad up and he went away.
I sighed and climbed out of the water and went inside to go to the bathroom to dry off, pee, and change my clothes. After, I went to the office and frowned. Gwendal and Gunter asked me what was wrong and I touched the wall and frowned and said "The way things are now is only temporary. Don't you remember? The same exact thing that happened earlier happened last year (around this time). That means that in about a month or so from now, all of this will be gone and everything will be back to the way it was earlier, before the earthquake and before those busses went over the side of the road."
Gwendal and Gunter didn't remember and told me I was being silly and worrying for nothing and sat me down and gave me tea and cookies. The phone on the desk rang and I answered it and it was some guy who was supposed to be a friend of mine. He'd called to give me a new cookie recipe that he'd wanted me to try. I thanked him and hung up. I sat back down and drank my tea and ate my (chocolate chip) cookies, knowing Gwendal and Gunter were wrong, but that it wouldn't do any good to try to convince them and started thinking about what to do about next year.
The dream skipped ahead to later that night. Gwendal, Gunter, Wolfram, Conrad, Lyn and I (Yuuri) were all in this night club, just talking and socializing with everyone who was there. This group of college (uni) kids came in and there was this one girl who caught my attention. I went from being Yuuri to being Lyn and kept checking out the girl. She was African American, had short frizzy/curly hair, and was wearing a black, spaghetti strap tank that came down to just a little past her boobs, blue jeans and sandals. She was waiting to hear if she'd gotten some kind of certificate that would allow her to go to film school coz she loved making and directing movies. I, Lyn, was a friend of hers but I also secretly "liked" her, but didn't know how she felt about me or if she was even into girls, so I kept my thoughts and feelings to myself. I also felt conflicted coz I also really "liked" Wolf and Sara too and had been with Wolf at least once.
Someone walked in and handed her an envelope and she opened it and started squealing. She'd gotten the letter she'd been waiting for and was able to go to film school. We were all so happy for her that we all started hugging and jumping up and down. Yuuri walked over to see what the fuss was all about and I told him and he congratulated the girl and bought us all drinks. I sat down at the bar and sipped my drink and Yuuri sat on the stool next to mine and just gave me a look that said "I know you like her, but what are you going to do about it?"
Then I woke up.
